If you are interested in becoming a Community Health Worker (CHW) in New Jersey, the Hub is a great source to further your professional development by providing opportunities and resources to make the process as successful as possible.

How to Become a CHW: Training & Employment

Register for Virtual Training Program with CHW-CLGI, organized by the New Jersey Department Of Health (NJDOH)
-
Attend 17-week course which consists of 144 hours classroom learning and 240 hours of in person on the-job (OTJ) training
The on-the-job training will be completed by a NJDOH Employer Partner site which will be assigned upon acceptance to the program.
CHWs can be recommended to the program and/or express interest by applying directly to NJDOH CHW-CLGI website.
NJDOH will cover related classroom instruction costs for all participants accepted into the CLGI training program.
